Historical Hockey and Sports Memorabilia Auction June 2023
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 6/28/2023
Signing with the Chicago Black Hawks in June of 1976, and due to his famously damaged knees, Bobby Orr played in only 26 games for the club over three seasons - sitting completely out of the 1977-78 campaign. This signed stick was used by the legendary blueliner during his time in The Windy City. A Victoriaville Pro Pattern model, with "B Orr" and "4" stamped to the upper shaft, the blue and red striping accent remains - with Orr only using this model with Chicago. Orr's original ribbed style tape job remains on the handle, along with his couple strands to the blade (one strand is missing). The stick shows moderate use with wear to the underside blade and marks with a few nicks and dings to the shaft. Orr has signed the blade in black marker, adding "Best Regards". Lumber used by the NHL's all-time best defenseman is always highly sought.
