Historical Hockey and Sports Memorabilia Auction Spring 2022

Joining fellow legendary Detroit Red Wings Alex Delvecchio and Steve Yzerman as the only three players in history to play in over 1,500 games for one club, Nicklas Lidstrom surpassed Delvecchio’s record of 1,550 on Feb 14, 2012, in a 3-1 victory over the Dallas Stars. The match also witnessed the Red Wings win their record 21st consecutive game on home ice, with the club going-on to win 23 in a row before finally losing to Vancouver. This signed stick was used by the superstar during the milestone contest. A Warrior Widow model, “Lidstrom #5” factory graphics appear over the upper shaft, with the original black tape partially removed from the blade, with white tape over the large knob (there is a handwritten notation to the knob). The stick shows moderate use, with wear and a few marks to the shaft. As mentioned, the blade tape has mostly been pulled away from the blade but is still attached, with Lidstrom adding a silver paint pen signature to the front side blade, along with “2/14/12” and “#1551”. A Hockeytown hologram is affixed, with a matching COA from the Red Wings to accompany.
