Playing the majority of his lengthy career in his native Russia with a number of clubs including Dynamo Moscow and Voskresensk Khimik, Lev Berdichevsky also saw action for parts of two seasons in the AHL with the Red Wings farm club, Adirondack. This Detroit Red Wings jersey is attributed to Berdichevsky’s use at training camp with the club during his time playing for Adirondack in the early-to-mid-1990s (1993-94 and 1994-95). Hailing from an older Detroit set – circa 1989-90, a CCM label is affixed to the collar along with a size “52” fly tag, with a CCM crest over the reverse hem. Styled with the classic winged-wheel team crest with embroidered detailing, “23” is sewn to the sleeves and verso in single twill, with “Berdichevsky” across the affixed nameplate in matching material. Exhibiting heavy use with numerous puck and stick marks over the front, reverse and sleeves, the dual-clasp fight strap is intact, and it shows signs of numerous washings.
