This silver-plated dinner tray was presented by Hockey Night in Canada to Hall of Fame star Tom Johnson on the occasion of the original Winnipeg Jets' first national NHL broadcast in 1979. Dubbed "Tuxedo Night" because Jets executives and even the Zamboni driver were dressed to the nines, the December 15th game saw the Jets pull out all the stops as they hosted the reigning Stanley Cup champion Montreal Canadiens. Tray measures 12 1/4" in diameter, with “Presented to - Tom Johnson - Member Hockey Hall of Fame - Honored at Winnipeg Arena by Hockey Night in Canada - Montreal Canadiens vs Winnipeg Jets - December 15th 1979” engraved in the middle. Accompanying the desirable tray, there is also a HOF souvenir lucite puck, Johnson's 1985 Manitoba Hockey Hall of Fame medal with ribbon, a second MHHOF "Member" medallion and two pins, HOF pucks signed by Bobby Hull/Yvan Cournoyer/Larry Regan (2), a 1960s HOF booklet, four different HOF calendars, a 2006 HOF induction magazine and approx 90 Johnson HOF postcards (there is also a misc group of 14 additional HOF postcards with original envelope - Sawchuk, McGee, Fredrickson, Worters and others). Hailing from his personal collection, an LOA from the Johnson family will accompany.
