Voted the greatest team ever by fans in 2017, the Edmonton Oilers claimed their second-consecutive Stanley Cup championship in 1985, with Wayne Gretzky scoring his milestone 1,000th career point during the season. Featuring the Edmonton Oilers during the 1984-85 season, this collection of 35mm negatives totals approx 3,510 (approx 2,308 in colour) including roughly 347 images of Gretzky and 850 from the playoffs. Highlights include an Oilers pep rally, raising the Stanley Cup banner, Gretz receiving hardware, Guy Lafleur, numerous images from the 1984 Canada Cup including the finals and dressing room after the finals, images from Gretzky’s 1,000th point, Oilers golf tournament, Gretzky’s first game as captain (Oct 12, 1984) and more! The negatives come in their original envelopes, with many listing the date. The majority of the negatives remain in excellent condition with no issues.
