Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Fall 2021
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 10/26/2021
The second-overall selection at the 1984 NHL Entry Draft, Kirk Muller is a veteran of 1,349 games spread over 19 seasons, with almost 1,000 career points scored including 357 goals. Hailing from the 1997-98 season with Florida, we have a signed stick that according to our consignor, was used by Muller in his milestone 1,000th career game and gifted to our consignor – one of three sticks used in the contest – on January 14, 1998. A Louisville TPS Graphite model with inserted wooden Louisville blade, the original worn cloth wrap remains on the handle with handwritten “9”, with the blade tape removed to allow space for the signature. Additional black tape was added at the blade joint – possibly for reinforcement, with heavy wear to the entire shaft, with the surface flaking somewhat. Muller has signed the front side blade in black marker, with “1000 Game” written adjacently, likely done later by an unknown individual.
