Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Fall 2021
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 10/26/2021
With his record of 11 Stanley Cup championships as a player never to be breached, Henri Richard served as Habs captain beginning in 1971 until his retirement in 1975, with his 1,256 games the most for any Canadien in history. We have a Victoriaville Pro used by the superstar during the late-1960s/early-1970s. “16 H. Richard” is stamped to the shaft along with “Special Order Model”, with the Pocket Rocket’s original black tape jobs on the handle and blade. The lower striping accent is gone, with nice game-use shown including numerous marks to the shaft including over the front side heel, with some minor age spotting to the upper shaft. Henri placed a thin dark ink signature to the upper shaft, with some smudging occurring. Richard scored Cup winners in 1966 and again in 1971, when he tallied the tying and winning goals in Game 7 in Chicago.
