Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Fall 2021
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 10/26/2021
The second time NHL games were played on the island nation, the Calgary Flames and San Jose Sharks battled in Japan for a pair of games during the 1998-99 season, and we offer a signed Flames jersey worn in the Oct 10th contest by Cale Hulse. CCM and NHL Player labeling is affixed to the collar along with “56” sizing, with CCM and NHL crests over the reverse hem. Styled with the club’s alternate crest, “32” in layered tackle twill is sewn to the sleeves and verso, with the Game One 98 Japan patch on the right breast. Sporting light wear with a few faint burn marks to the sleeves, Hulse has signed the reverse “3” in black marker. The team patch is heat-pressed to the inside hem, and it notes that garment’s status as a “#1 of 1 Game One Japan 1998” specimen.
