Historical Hockey and Sports Memorabilia Auction Spring 2022

Selected behind only Taylor Hall at the 2010 NHL Entry Draft, Tyler Seguin spent parts of three seasons in Boston before being traded in July of 2013 to the Dallas Stars. These gloves were used by the superstar in the late-2010s, with these specific type of models seeing action from approx 2017 to 2020. Bauer Vapor Pro models in solid black with white identifiers, “Seguin” is embroidered to each with “18” handwritten to the interior of each glove (the numbers most likely represent the amount of glove pairs worn by Seguin that season, as we have sold a mismatched pair previously with “12” written in one glove, “14” in the other). The right glove sports a grey reinforcing patch added to the palm (the patch was added as a reinforcement and not a repair, as viewing the palm from the inside of the glove shows no holes to the original material). Showing light game-use with wear to each palm, Getty Images of Seguin do show him wearing this type of model with a reinforcing grey patch within the right palm. A true matched pair, the serial number of “060769” is stamped to each interior.
