Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Fall 2021
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 10/26/2021
From the early-1990s Zeller’s "Masters of Hockey" promotion that featured numerous legendary NHL stars, we have a collection of three "Masters of Hockey” signed full-size sticks, accompanied by 20 signed hockey cards from the promotion along with two plastic displays to mount the cards. Each sporting "Masters of Hockey” graphics along with the signer’s name stamped, each stick has been signed by the respective player on the blade in black marker, with the limited-edition numbers handwritten, including “338/350” for the Kelly, “218/350” for the Bower and “342/350” for the Richard (the Richard signature is also slightly faded). The signed cards were limited to 1,000 sets, and show the players in their "Masters of Hockey” jerseys, with 2 of each card signed in silver by Richard, Lindsay, Gilbert, Bower, Mikita and Frank Mahovlich, along with additional signed examples from Cheevers, Kelly, Ullman, McDonals, Pilote, Beliveau, Keon and Henri Richard. The cards show light handling wear, with no issues for the signatures. The plastic displays include one that holds 9 cards (1993), the other, 7 (1992), with light wear to the pair.
