Lending his vast hockey knowledge and expertise to the modern game, Peter Mahovlich has served as an NHL scout for numerous seasons throughout the late-1990s and 2000s including for Atlanta and Florida. The AHL Chicago Wolves were the minor-league affiliates of Atlanta during Mahovlich’s tenure with the club (throughout the 2000s), and won Calder Cups twice, including the season the offered Chicago Wolves Calder Cup Championship 10K gold and diamond ring was presented to Mahovlich, in 2001-02. Size 12 ½ with an approx weight of 38 grams, a raised Wolves logo encrusted with diamonds sits over the tableau, encompassed by additional precious stones, with “Calder Cup Champions” in slanted letters encircling the tableau, with an embedded diamond between each word. The right shank has a Wolves logo with “Mahovlich” above and “ATL” below, while the left has a raised image of the Calder Cup with “2002” below. The inner band is boldly stamped “10K”. Exhibiting wear from use, there are numerous scratches and dings along the band and shanks, with some additional wear along edges throughout. Hailing from his personal collection, a signed LOA from Peter Mahovlich will accompany.
