Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Fall 2021
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 10/27/2021
Setting a pair of NHL playoff records during his time with the Boston Bruins including most saves by a goaltender in a Stanley Cup Final series, Tim Thomas spent the majority of his career in Massachusetts, backstopping the Beantowners in over 400 regular-season and playoff matches. We have items from his time with the black and gold, including VH skates with Bauer blade holders and Tuuk blades - with an extra pair of blades (unknown when worn), a Bauer Supreme glove (circa 2009-10, with the model not showing up in game images and sporting very light wear), Reebok knee pads with “Boston Bruins” embroidered to one, “Tim Thomas” to the other (moderate use shown), and a Vaughn chest protector in Bruins colours (shows good use). An inventory label presumably from the Bruins that list Thomas along with the particulars has been affixed to the glove (removable), with Kay Whitmore also initialing in his capacity as goaltending supervisor of the NHL. Hailing from his personal collection, a signed LOA from Tim Thomas will accompany.
