Earning his second Maurice “Rocket” Richard Trophy while scoring 44 goals during the 2016-17 NHL season – his second-highest career total to date, Sidney Crosby also won his second coveted Conn Smythe while leading the Penguins to their third Stanley Cup championship in just nine seasons. This stick is attributed to use by Crosby during the November 18, 2016 match vs the Islanders, where Sidney earned a goal and an assist. A CCM Ribcore model with “Crosby 87” factory graphics, the original white ribbed pattern over the handle with “87” handwritten is intact, with the blade tape removed. “11-18-16” is handwritten on the underside of the shaft, with the aforementioned game won by the Pens 3-2. The composite exhibits just light game-use, with a few marks to the shaft and wear to the taped section of handle (there is red paint transfer on the handle, but this occurred after use, from contact while bundled with additional sticks). Crosby has placed a flawless silver paint pen signature across the front side blade that displays beautifully.
