Earning four “Most Exciting Player” awards with Vancouver, Todd Bertuzzi enjoyed a lengthy NHL career shared amongst six teams while also representing Canada at the IIHF World Championships and Winter Olympics. From his first full season in Motor City, we have a photo-matched Red Wings jersey worn late in the 2009-10 season. A CCM label with “58” sizing is affixed to the collar, with NHL and Reebok crests gracing the front and reverse necklines respectively. Featuring the timeless winged-wheel team crest, “44” is sewn to the sleeves and verso in single twill, with “Bertuzzi” across the upper reverse in matching material. Sporting moderate game-use with black marks visible including a large stick mark on the upper front, there is also a team repair on the lower left sleeve and pilling in numerous areas. The team patch resides on the inside hem denoting the garment as a “Set 1” specimen, and we should note that despite the Set 1 designation, the jersey was worn late in the season, in March and April. Getty Images #98221347 (March 20, 2010) and #98242537 (April 4, 2010) have both been matched to the large stick mark beneath the front left shoulder.
