Representing his nation repeatedly throughout his HOF career beginning at the World Juniors in 1983, Steve Yzerman won gold medals at both the 1984 Canada Cup and 2002 Winter Olympics in Salt Lake City, and we offer signed gloves worn by the superstar at the 2002 tournament. Photo-matched to the Feb 20, 2002 quarterfinal vs Finland and Feb 22, 2002 semifinal vs Belarus – with Stevie Y scoring a goal in the first period of the Belarus match while wearing the offered gloves, the Easton Z Air models are in Team Canada colours and feature “Yzerman” screened over each wrist guard. Both gloves sport nice game-use with dark marks visible along with light wear to the palms, with the pair signed in silver paint pen over the base of each index finger. Getty Image #51520552 (Feb 20, 2002 quarterfinal vs Finland – Yzerman scored a goal in this match) has been matched to the distinct blue mark within the "N" of "Easton" on the right glove. Additionally, the dark mark on the red section beneath the "T" of "EASTON" on the left glove is faint but visible, while Getty Image #51958441 (Feb 22, 2002 semifinal vs Belarus – image shows Rob Blake celebrating with Yzerman after his goal, and he would add a pair of assists for a three-point night) has been matched to the dark marks visible on the main red section over the fingers on the right glove, with the stick mark through the "A" of "EASTON" visible as well as the dark mark just above and to the right.
Addendum; the gloves are now photo-matched to the Gold Medal game to Getty Images #81338283 (Feb 24, 2002) to the stick mark through the "A" of "EASTON" and the black mark in the main red section of the right glove and to Getty Images #52815165 (Feb 24, 2002) to the stick mark through the "A" of "EASTON" on the right glove.
