One of the greatest Soviet players in history, dominating on the world stage throughout the 1980s while a member of CSKA Moscow with numerous gold medals won, Igor Larionov also brought his immense talent to the NHL and featured in three Stanley Cup championships. From his final international tournament, we have a pair of signed gloves worn by the Professor at the 2002 Winter Olympics in Salt Lake City, photo-matched to the semifinals vs the US as well as the bronze medal game (Larionov earned three assists in the bronze medal victory). TPS HG1 models in red, white and blue, “Larionov” is embroidered to each wrist guard, with “Team Russia Salt Lake 2002” handwritten in black marker near each embroidery. Exhibiting nice game-use with puck and stick marks to each along with wear to the palms, Larionov has signed each glove over the wrist extensions in silver, with the signatures presenting beautifully. Worn by the Russian captain at his final international showing, these gloves would serve as centerpieces in any Larionov or Russian game-used collection.
