Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Fall 2021
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 10/26/2021
A legendary member of the Montreal Canadiens paramount late-1950s Stanley Cup dynasty widely regarded as the greatest in history, Bernie Geoffrion spent parts of 14 seasons in a Habs sweater and earned a number of awards throughout his HOF career including the Hart Memorial and Art Ross. Originating from his jersey retirement night on March 11, 2006, where his #5 was raised to the rafters, never to be worn again, we have a souvenir “Geoffrion” Canadiens alternate captain's jersey kept by Habs centerman Steve Begin. A CCM model with “XXL” sizing affixed to the collar and styled with the classic Habs team crest with Boom Boom’s #5 over the sleeves and verso in tackle twill, the Habs centennial crest is situated over the right shoulder. Just a souvenir model for Begin's collection, the jersey remains in beautiful condition. An LOA signed by Steve Begin will accompany.
