Historical Hockey and Sports Memorabilia Auction Winter 2023
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 2/28/2023
Arguably the most famous image in hockey history, we have a wonderful representation of that historic moment that occurred in overtime of Game 4 of the 1970 Stanley Cup finals, with a framed photo display of “The Goal” signed by legendary superstar Bobby Orr. At approx 16” x 20” and forever captured by the camera’s eye, the black and white image pictures Orr in mid-flight, with his large blue marker signature added beneath displaying with lightness from age. Double-matted and housed in a black wooden frame with full dimensions of roughly 28 ¼” x 27 ¼”, the frame shoes light wear and dings to the edges and corners. A plaque listing the particulars of the iconic moment is inserted at the base. Featuring a COA from Great North Roads affixed to the back of the frame, the piece hails from the personal collection of Brian Glennie and comes accompanied by a signed Glennie family LOA.
While all of our frames are thoroughly and safely packaged for shipping, due to the size and/or weight, and dependent upon the shipping company, we should mention that damage may occur in transit. Please note that as such, we are not responsible for damage to frames that occur during shipping.
