Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Fall 2021
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 10/26/2021
Collectors had fun back in the day opening packs of 1992-93 O-Pee-Chee hockey cards since accompanying the eight cards in each was an insert card featuring an image of a famous rookie (or other) card produced by the company during the previous two-plus decades. For example, a Bernie Parent RC image represented 1968-69, Tony Esposito ’69-70, Bobby Clarke ’70-71 and so and so on for each season, with Wayne Gretzky’s RC likeness the obvious choice for ’79-80. The insert set included 25 cards and an unnumbered checklist, while the regular card set was 396 strong. Four different “blow-ups” of trophy winner cards were featured on box bottom cards, with that roster comprised of Pavel Bure, Brian Leetch, Mark Messier and Patrick Roy. The offered case includes 24 unopened boxes, with 36 packs in each box. Have some fun and/or offer some of it to others – you’ll get to decide if you’re the high bidder.
