Another portion of our consignor's non-sport card hoard, this batch has James Arness (Gunsmoke) and Steve McQueen (Wanted Dead or Alive) headlining a near set of popular 1958 Topps TV Westerns cards with just #s 5 and 30 required to complete the 71-card ensemble. VG, VG+, VG-EX and EX cards dominate, with a few better/worse. Three dozen 1962 Topps Civil War representatives are about an even mix of lesser lights (P-F-G) and VG entries, with a creased and marked checklist to note. There's also a smattering of a few other classic vintage (and other) sets, with mostly low grade cards to report and the lowdown as follows: 1956 Davy Crockett (Orange)(4), 1961 Fleer Pirates (10), 1965 Topps Battle (13, including a marked checklist), 1965 War Bulletin (4), 1966 Green Berets (9), 1966 Tarzan (7) and 1973 O-Pee-Chee RCMP (4). Now then, as for the Brooke Bond cards, they've been stored, (similar to the small groups just mentioned) with rubber bands around them, at times resulting in the odd card with indentations, with all others like-new. The groups appear to be complete 48-card issues but have not been verified. The lineup includes the following titles: The Space Age, Indians of Canada, Transportation Through The Ages, Exploring The Ocean, The Arctic, African Animals, Animals and Their Young, North American Wildlife in Danger and Trees of North America. Like we like to say, lots of possibilities with this varied stash.
