Huge is right is this stash, dating back to 1963 and a stack of Topps Valentine Foldees. They’ve been folded and enjoyed but will still provide laughs, having been preserved quite well, with 48 out of 55 present – pretty good. Actually, the earliest contributor is a 50-card 1938 Ogden’s set entitled Actors – Natural and Character Studies, with the attractive cigarette cards exhibiting subtle evidence at the corners of once having been in an album. The Mod Squad is present in a 1968 O-Pee-Chee starter set (40/55) of lower grade cards, while also showing handling and wear are two set-starter piles of ’71 OPC Partridge Family cards (blue border = 49/55, yellow border = 41/55), with some duplicates thrown-in and much nicer EX-MT to NM examples dominating a ’76 OPC Happy Days set of 44 – cool! Charlie’s Angels are in great shape(!) in a ’77 Topps Series 3 set of 66, accompanied by a set of 11 stickers and over 40 miscellaneous cards for all three series, the latter in lesser condition. Also from ’77 is a near set (65/66) of The Gong Show cards, plus 10 stickers and one unopened wax pack. There’s a set of 44 Three’s Company stickers from ’78, with complete card sets featuring “CHiPs” (1979 – 60 cards, 6 stickers) and The Dukes of Hazzard (1980 – 66 cards), both exhibiting minimal handling/wear. M*A*S*H checks-in with a complete 66-card assembly from ’82, a year after a 56-card “Dallas” ensemble. Bo Derek stars in a 72-card “here’s Bo” set, a mini-poster set of 12, a stack of doubles, additional posters and two unopened packs. A 1974 set (of 42) Donruss Football Super Freaks stickers is joined by ten unopened packs, although it looks like the gum did a number on half of them. Completing is a set of 1976 (intact, unfolded) Topps Mad Ad Foldees (33 cards) and 71 extras, along some miscellaneous unopened wax packs; 1979 OPC Wacky Packages stickers (4), 1980 Topps Weird Wheels stickers (4), 1980 Fleer Pac-Man stickers and rub-offs (3), 1980 Topps Creature Feature (1) and 1980 The Rocky Horror Picture Show (2). Oh, we almost forgot, a set of 24 “WANTED” posters put out by Topps in 1980 fold out to a big, nearly 12” by 20” size and also will provide entertainment.
