Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Fall 2021
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 10/26/2021
A little Elvis and the Beatles action leads chronologically here, with plenty of tunes coming to mind throughout this music-related offering. Nine Elvis cards from 1956 (VG to EX range) are joined by miscellaneous Topps (8) and O-Pee-Chee (18) Beatles examples, all but three of them being black and white issues and mostly VG and VG+ condition to report. There’s a complete 44-card Series A set of 1966 color cards of The Monkees, along with three dozen extras, while a starter set (33/44) of sepia Monkees cards is also present, with however low grade in all cases. A 66-card 1979 Rock Stars set features Kiss, Queen, The Babys and the Village People and comes with a wax pack wrapper, with a 1978 (132-card) set of Kiss cards likely carrying the most weight/appeal. Over 150 extras (with duplication) are also present, as are three 1st Series unopened packs (corner wear) and two (nice) 2nd Series packs. There are 45 (of 66) 1978 Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band cards and then Elvis closes the show; a pile of (127) ’78 Donruss cards and two unopened packs, as well as a similar stack of ’78 Monty Gum cards concludes. The Kiss cards are in pleasing EX-MT to NM-MT condition, (with some MINT examples to discover) and will have you, like the others, smiling and maybe singing a tune.
