Representing the Pittsburgh Penguins in three different stints beginning in the late-1980s and concluding in 2008, Mark Recchi earned a trio of Stanley Cup championship with the club, including in 2016 and 2017 as a development coach. This signed and photo-matched helmet was worn by the 2017 HOF inductee in 2005-06. A CCM model in solid black with Itech visor and intact strapping, Penguins decals grace each side (one has some blue ink staining), with Recchi’s “8” over the reverse and an NHL decal on the lower right. Great game-use is exhibited on the head gear with numerous marks, scratches and surface abrasions, with Recchi adding a silver ink signature over the right side near the Pens decal, with some loss to the signature in areas. Getty Image #56335937 (Nov 29, 2005) has been matched to the two long distinct scratch marks over the top of the helmet, with their exact shape and placement identical. The two small marks at the bottom of the "C" of "CCM" across the forehead also match. (This image shows blue itech stickers on the visor, with the helmet showing the current red stickers placed over the blue, with this presumably the same visor).
