Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Fall 2021
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 10/26/2021
Teammates throughout lengthy parts of their careers, Frank Mahovlich and Johnny Bower would spend a decade together representing the blue and white, and hoist Lord Stanley's hardware on four occasions - including 1966-67, the most recent championship for Toronto. Obtained from the family of Frank Mahovlich and originating from his personal collection, we offer a collection of four items signed by the duo. First, we have a vintage-style Leafs jersey signed by the pair. Made to simulate wool with Starter labeling affixed to the collar and "L" sizing, each has signed above the team crest in blue marker with induction years added, with light bleeding to the signatures. Next, we have a Leafs polyester toque signed by Mahovlich, with his signature, "Big M" and "HOF 81" on one side, and "Calder Trophy 1958" and "Stanley Cups 1962-63-64-67" on the other. The signature and inscriptions display well. Lastly, we have a pair of modern 8" x 10" prints, with one signed by Mahovlich, the other by the pair, with no issues for the signatures. An LOA from the Mahovlich family will accompany.
