Showing considerable handling and wear and at times abuse are the vast majority of these 1969-70 O-Pee-Chee cards, issued the season that Bobby Orr had his memorable four trophy-winning campaign. Bobby’s regular (#24) card here is among the Poor entries, with multiple creases and a pinhole near the top, while a red pen mark affects the front of 209-Norris Trophy, with his All-Star card not present, similar to three different Gordie Howe cards. Rookie cards of Tony Esposito and Serge Savard are both F, with Tim Horton’s 213-All-Star card (EX-MT) a definite standout and condition leader. Accounting for most of the rest are low grade P, F and G entries, with a small percentage making it to VG. Ten have either writing on the front (1-Worsley, 182-Horton) or tape stains (216-Hull All-Star), while back damage (10-Beliveau) is observed on 15 others. Four staple holes are in the comparatively attractive Stanley Cup card, with the two checklists marked and multi-creased. An inexpensive trip back in time is thus up for grabs. The other missing cards are mostly commons; #s 2, 88-Favell RC, 89-Parent, 93, 95, 96, 97, 98, 104, 105, 124, 144, 170 and 171.
