For those enamored by vintage comic books and Big Little Books, we have a great collection featuring 10 Big Little Books along with 34 gold and silver age comic books (mostly desirable DC and Marvel superheros titles including Adventure Comics - Superman, Batman, The Amazing Spider-Man and others, with 7 desirable pre-code horror comics also included). Additionally, there is a pair of signed modern books, with Batman The Dark Knight Falls (Book Four) and Batman Hunt the Dark Knight (Book Three) both signed by artist extraordinaire Frank Miller (each comes with a JSA Basic Cert, with light handling wear to the pair). The Big Little Books are all “Better Little Books” examples (post 1938), including The Shadow (1495), Maximo (1445), Dann Dunn (48), Flash Gordon (1423), Don Winslow (1489), Mandrake (1454), Charlie Chan (1478), Dan Dunn (1481), Charlie Chan (1459) and Charlie Chan (1424). The majority show moderate to heavier wear which includes toning, fading and wear to the spines, with each appearing complete. The comic books include 7 Batman issues (spanning from #154 to #211), 1 Detective (#335), 8 Adventure Comics (Spanning from #283 to #324), 7 issues of The Amazing Spider-Man (15 – first appearance of Kraven, 30, 32, 53, 58, 60 and Annual #2), rare Canadian White Editions for Spy Smasher from 1943 (Vol 1, issues 8 and 12, with both in low grade), Hi-Ho Silver – The Lone Ranger to the Rescue (1939, low grade but displays well), and a copy of Daredevil #158 – The first Frank Miller issue! (reading copy). The horror comics include Adventures Into the Unknown (24, 25, 30, 59 and 134), Astonishing (31) and Jumbo Comics (166), with the group displaying well but having lower technical grades. The majority of the silver age comics are reading copies in mid to low grade, with a few a bit nicer.
