Well known to opponents for his great physical play and sheer aggressiveness, Zack Kassian was a Buffalo Sabres draft choice and made his NHL debut with the club in 2011-12, followed by parts of four seasons with Vancouver. From the start of his time in Alberta, we have a photo-matched Edmonton Oilers jersey worn by the Windsor native in 2015-16, where he appeared in 36 regular-season games. An Elite Sportswear label and “58” size tag are affixed to the collar, with NHL and Reebok crests over the front and reverse necklines respectively. Styled with the classic oil drop team crest with embroidered detailing, “44” is sewn to the sleeves and verso in layered tackle twill, with “Kassian” across the affixed nameplate in navy twill. The jersey shows moderate use, with a few marks visible along with a material-backed team repair on the left sleeve. There is also some minor discolouration to the lower sleeves. Getty Image #510051684 (Feb 7, 2016) has been matched to the material-backed team repair visible over the lower left sleeve, with the small dark mark on the upper sleeve also visible. A MeiGray patch numbered “M02782” is affixed to the inside hem that matches the accompanying LOA, and according to the company’s population report, the jersey is a “White Set 2” specimen.
