Nominated for the Calder Memorial Trophy after his 51 points scored during his rookie campaign – second for all rookies in 1999-00, Alex Tanguay dressed for five different NHL clubs throughout his career which included two separate stints with Colorado. From the final season of his first stint with the club, we have an Avalanche jersey worn by Tanguay in 2005-06. A label with “56” sizing and handwritten “II” is affixed to the collar (for the set number), with embroidered Reebok and NHL crests over the reverse neckline and bottom hem respectively. Styled with a textured Aves team crest with embroidered detailing, “18” is sewn to the sleeves and verso in stylized tackle twill, with the club's “10 Seasons” patch residing over the right breast. Moderate game-use is exhibited, with burns and marks over each sleeve. A MeiGray patch numbered “C02661” is affixed to the inside hem that matches the accompanying LOA, and according to the company’s population report, the jersey is a "Burgundy Set 2" specimen.
