Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Spring 2021
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 6/30/2021
Selected first overall by the Colorado Rockies in 1979, ahead of future superstars Ray Bourque, Mike Gartner and Michel Goulet, Rob Ramage spent a single season in the WHA before a trio of NHL seasons with the Rockies, and would appear for seven different NHL clubs throughout his career. From his first of two seasons in Montreal, where he appeared in eight regular-season contests along with seven playoff games, we have a Canadiens jersey worn by the Byron native in 1992-93. A Maska Ultrafil label and size “54” fly tag are affixed to the collar, with an embroidered CCM crest over the reverse hem. Styled with the most famous team crest in hockey, “5” is sewn to the sleeves and verso in white-over-blue tackle twill, with “Ramage” across the affixed nameplate in single white twill. The jersey also sports the important Stanley Cup centennial crest over the right breast. Exhibiting very light game-use, just a few random marks are visible including a large scuff across the front band with two very small resulting holes.
