His first 100-point season since 2013-14, Sidney Crosby would hit the triple-digit number in 2018-19, scoring 35 goals in 79 games while earning MVP honours at the NHL All-Star Game. This stick was used by the superstar in 2018-19 - in two contests, photo-matched to each - including during a portion of the Jan 1st 7-2 victory over the Rangers where he scored a goal and assist for two points, as well as in a portion of the Jan 4th 4-0 shutout vs Winnipeg, where he netted an assist. A CCM Ribcore model with “Crosby 87” factory graphics, the original black tape is intact on the blade and white ribbed pattern over the handle (with “87” handwritten along with two black dots on the reverse). Large Penguins stickers with the date and opponent of each game are affixed to the lower shaft near a hologram, with a Frameworth COA to accompany.
It should be noted that the stick has been photo-matched to both aforementioned matches, with the tape on the blade torn in images from the Jan 2nd match, and later replaced in images from the Jan 4th match. Nice game-use is exhibited on the composite stick, with wear to the taped section of blade including a few tears. There are also marks and surface chips to the lower shaft, with an additional small chip at the toe. Getty Image #1089948822 (Jan 2, 2019 vs New York) has been matched to the small surface chips visible at the top of the "M" and first "C" of "CCM" on the lower front side shaft, with the chip at the toe of the blade also visible (this image shows the stick before the blade was re-taped), while Getty Image #1090142558 (Jan 4, 2019 vs Winnipeg) has been matched to the small surface chips visible at the top of the "M" and first "C" of "CCM" on the lower front side shaft, with the chip at the toe of the blade also visible.
