Joining once again, in collaboration with the Montreal Canadiens, Classic Auctions is pleased to offer a large collection of artifacts and memorabilia from the storied club’s comprehensive archives. A number of historic specimens direct from the famous team including unique displays that were once marvelously displayed in the hallowed Montreal Forum and later at the Bell Centre are available, with an endless array of legendary and monumental players featured that all proudly once donned the sacred jersey of the mighty Montreal Canadiens.
An example of the tough and rugged defencemen that made up the NHL during the 1940s, Kenny Reardon enjoyed two seasons with the Montreal Canadiens at the start of the decade before enlisting with the Canadian Army in 1942. The Winnipeg native would rejoin the Habs upon his return, winning a Stanley Cup championship in 1946. Direct from the archives of the Montreal Canadiens and most likely displayed originally at the Montreal Forum and possibly later at the Bell Centre, we have a Hall of Fame honoured member framed photo of the past star. At 7” x 10” (exposed), the image is a modern print, with Reardon depicted in a posed shot, in full uniform. A gold-coloured name plaque listing his induction year (1966) has been inserted beneath, double-matted and framed to 16” x 16”, with some light wear to the frame to note. An LOA from Classic Auctions will be included.
