Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Spring 2021
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 6/30/2021
Playing alongside Ken Hodge and Wayne Maki with the St. Catharines Black Hawks in 1964-65, Paul Trebenche would make his NHL debut with the Chicago Black Hawks in 1967-68 and spend additional time with Buffalo before transitioning to the WHA for six seasons beginning in 1974-75. From his single season with Birmingham where he skated in 11 contests, we have a Bulls jersey worn by the Port Hope native in 1977-78. Russell Athletic and Hibbett labels are affixed to the collar, with the vintage mesh sweater measuring-out to roughly a size 48. The Bulls team crest, striping bands and “4” over the sleeves and verso have all been rubberized, with “Terbenche” sewn to the affixed nameplate in single blue twill. Sporting just light game-use as expected, the rubberized striping bands remain intact with no unsightly wear or damage, with just a few stick marks visible along with a tiny stain beneath the front collar.
