Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Spring 2021
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 6/30/2021
A product of the OHL, spending seasons with Barrie and Sarnia, Vladimir Nikiforov later represented a number of clubs in the ECHL including the Utah Grizzlies. From his time on Long Island, we have a New York Islanders jersey worn by the New York native during training camp prior to the 2008-09 NHL season. CCM labeling with “54” sizing is affixed to the collar, with NHL and Reebok crests gracing the front and reverse necklines respectively. Styled with the classic Long Island team crest, “63” is sewn to the chest, sleeves and verso in tackle twill, with an alternate patch over the right shoulder. Sporting just light game-use, there are a few marks visible including a faint burn mark near the right elbow. There is also some discolouration encompassing the front and reverse neckline. A patch from MeiGray numbered “F01644” resides on the inside hem, with this number matching the accompanying LOA, and according to the company’s population report, the jersey is a “White Set 1 – Training Camp Only” example.
