All sorts of goodies comprise this interesting lot, with Topps cards, along with Topps and O-Pee-Chee inserts leading in the appeal department. Three 1966-67 Topps “Test” issue representatives are a good place to start, with #11-Imlach (EX+), 10-Berenson (VG+) and 12-Bower (G+) present, along with Topps rookie cards of Lanny McDonald (in a Beckett Raw Card Review holder labeled “8”), Borje Salming (EX), Gartner, Goulet, Yzerman, Brett Hull, Shanahan, Sakic and others, with the 1980s material looking quite sharp and an ’88-89 Pierre Turgeon RC graded MINT 9 by PSA. Other Topps notables include 70-Gordie Howe (VG+) and the 111-Checklist (unmarked but with light creases) from ’71-72, Ken Dryden’s classic ’73-74 card (EX+) and 120-Gretzky from ’88-89. Others with photos different than their OPC counterparts are also cool to check out, with the Esposito brothers appearing from ’72-73. The early-‘70s are well represented by OPC inserts, with six crease-free ’72-73 WHA team logos among the highlights and joined by a dozen NHL logos, with two different years represented. Also from ’72-73 are 16 Player Crests (Dryden, Espo) and a dozen Team Canada inserts (Henderson), while from the previous season are English (6) and French (14)(Orr (tear), Espo bros.) “Booklets”, with Bobby Hull autographing a French version. Six ’70-71 Deckle Edge entries, a few “Rings” from ’73-74, round and square corner Topps and OPC glossy insert sets and miscellaneous Topps sticker inserts (mostly from the ‘80s) are also present. A beauty ’68-69 OPC Puck Sticker of 22-Gordie Howe is actually card-size, with a very light one-inch wrinkle only detectable on the (adhesive) back. Early-‘70s European stickers and small cards are not often seen and include Tretiak, Kharlamov, Ragulin, Hedberg, Hlinka, Bubla, Sterner, Dzurilla and others, while Gretzky and his Oilers teammates show up in a small stack of ’82-83 Topps stickers. Identified as a set is a box of ’78-79 Topps cards, with a Mike Bossy RC VG-EX. There are then over 1700 other Topps and OPC cards to sift through, with cards mostly from the mid-‘70s to the mid-‘80s. Condition across the board varies and so will your mood! as you inspect this stash. Oh, late additions are Orr, Hull, Howe and few other oversized “Sportscaster” (hockey) cards and a 1960s Topps Hobby Card Album.
