A Toronto Maple Leafs draft selection in 2002, Matt Stajan spent parts of seven seasons in Ontario before moving on to Calgary and the DEL. This photo-matched Maple Leafs third jersey was worn by the Mississauga native in 2005-06. A label with “56” sizing is affixed to the collar, with NHL and Reebok crests over the reverse hem and back neckline respectively. Styled with a vintage-style Leafs team crest with embroidered detailing, “14” appears over the sleeves and verso in single navy twill, with “Stajan” across the affixed nameplate in matching material. A MeiGray patch numbered “C09894” is sewn to the inside hem next to a year swatch, and according to the MeiGray population report, the jersey is a "Third Set 2" example. An LOA from the Leafs will accompany.
Showing just very light game-use, the jersey remains fairly clean, with some blue paint transfer near and over the left elbow as well as red paint transfer on the reverse hem. Getty Image #57270267 (March 3, 2006 vs Buffalo) has been matched to the mark visible within the "1" of "14" on the right sleeve, specifically to its exact shape and placement.
