Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Spring 2021
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 6/30/2021
Several of the big names which contribute to Parkhurst’s colorful 1961-62 set are involved in this lot, with three dozen cards joining the key rookie card of Dave Keon, with the revered Maple Leaf penning “To Stephen – Best Wishes – David Keon” in black ink to the front of card #5. It has some staining, corner wear and a side-to-side crease but still, pretty cool. Similar creasing affects the Gordie Howe card, while the Tim Horton example is hampered by a rather heavy top-to-bottom crease. One of Jacques Plante (G+) is nicer, with (small) creases limited to the corners. Amid the remainder are ten VG-or-better including 17-Armstrong, with 51-Pronovost affected by stains but otherwise EX and the rest low grade P-F-G reps, with Shack and Hall of Famers Geoffrion, Moore, Pronovost and Stanley notable. Dave and Gordie and Tim and Jacques headline in a nifty design.
