Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Spring 2021
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 6/30/2021
One of the most dominant blueliners throughout the 1970s/80s as well as one of the most physical, Larry Robinson earned a pair of James Norris Trophies throughout his HOF career along with the Conn Smythe as the most valuable player of the 1978 Stanley Cup playoffs. This lot offers a collection of Robinson signed items totaling four, with a Canadiens jersey, stick, framed photo and vintage skates. First, the jersey was produced by CCM with labeling and “XXL” sizing affixed to the collar along with a tackle twill team crest and numbers, with Big Bird adding an attractive silver paint pen signature to the reverse “1” along with “HOF ‘95”. Next, the photo is an 8” x 10” “Del Frisco” example that depicts Larry lifting the Stanley Cup, signed in blue sharpie, matted and framed to approx 13” x 15”, followed by the stick, with the circa late-1960s Victoriaville model showing heavy use and wear with a taped blade, with Robinson placing a flawless black marker signature and “HOP 1995” to one side of the shaft. Lastly, the skates are circa 1950s Daoust Pro Styled models in solid black with light use shown, with Robinson placing a large silver ink signature to the right skate with “HOF ‘95”, with no issues for the bright signature.
