Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Winter 2021
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 2/23/2021
Joining once again, in collaboration with the Montreal Canadiens, Classic Auctions is pleased to offer a large collection of artifacts and memorabilia from the storied club's comprehensive archives. A number of historic specimens direct from the famous team including unique displays that were once marvelously displayed in the hallowed Montreal Forum and later at the Bell Centre are available, with an endless array of legendary and monumental players featured that all proudly once donned the sacred jersey of the mighty Montreal Canadiens.
A unique item pertaining to Guy Lafleur’s Farewell Tournament at the Colisee Pepsi in Quebec on February 27, 2011, this framed piece has 2 photos of Lafleur and Sakic. Look for two tournament lapel pins that have been affixed to the matte as well. There is some scuffing on the front side of the frame, which is understandable since it was most likely sold in the Canadiens boutique. On the reverse, there are small tears in the backing paper which do not impact how the piece can be displayed. Direct from the archives of the Montreal Canadiens, this framed display was not officially hung on the walls at the Molson Centre/Bell Centre. An LOA from Classic Auctions will be included.
