After coaching the Toronto Maple Leafs to three straight Stanley Cup championships in the late-1940s, Hap Day moved toward a managerial role with the club. Offered in this lot of five official NHL documents is a glimpse at hockey’s past along with five signatures (four in black ink, one in blue ink) from the Hall of Fame talent. First up we have Loan Agreements from 1949 and 1951 for AHL legends Gil Mayer and Frank Mathers and there is also a “C” Form from 1955 for future Maple Leafs goalie and General Manager Gerry McNamara. Lastly, we have two Standard Assignment Agreements inked by Day and Los Angeles Monarchs owner Charlie Cord. Each document presents nicely with occasional light creases or staple holes. A great way to obtain some pieces of Maple Leafs history!
The Standard Assignment Agreements and the “C” Form measure approximately 8.5” x 11” while the Loan Agreements are a smaller 8.5” x 9.25”.
