Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Winter 2021
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 2/23/2021
Selected in both the NHL and WHA drafts of 1975, Blair Davidson spend four seasons with the Flin Flon Bombers along with a pair of seasons in the CHL before signing with the Phoenix Roadrunners. Only two games would be played by Davidson with the final-season Roadrunners in 1976-77 while wearing the offered jersey. A Rawlings label with “46” sizing is affixed to the collar, with no other labeling present. Featuring a gorgeous and highly detailed chain-stitched team crest, “28” appears over the sleeves and verso in tackle twill, with “Davidson” sewn to the original affixed nameplate in matching material. The jersey also sports a customized garter-style fight strap. Exhibiting light game-use, with the material supple and the colouration remaining vibrant, there is a small red stain on the team crest, with just a few random marks over each sleeve. There is also a bit of puckering to the team crest. Regarded as one of the most attractive of all WHA jerseys, these heavy weight durene specimens are always on the radar of advanced collectors.
