Joining once again, in collaboration with the Montreal Canadiens, Classic Auctions is pleased to offer a large collection of artifacts and memorabilia from the storied club's comprehensive archives. A number of historic specimens direct from the famous team including unique displays that were once marvelously displayed in the hallowed Montreal Forum and later at the Bell Centre are available, with an endless array of legendary and monumental players featured that all proudly once donned the sacred jersey of the mighty Montreal Canadiens.
A feared opponent on the ice, Cleghorn is one of the toughest customers in hockey history. In 1923-24, he led the Canadiens to a Stanley Cup title and finished second in voting for the debuting Hart Trophy. There are a couple of scuffs and indentations on the front and corners of the frame as to be expected from hanging in one of hockey's holy temples, but it will display nicely in your home or office. On the back, the framer's information appears on the paper backing, which has two holes from mounting that will not be visible when hung. The top and the bottom of the frame has grooves which originally held the frame in place when on display, and there is some rubber adhesive at the top which can potentially be removed. Direct from the archives of the Montreal Canadiens, this framed display was likely displayed at the Molson Center and later on at the Bell Centre. An LOA from Classic Auctions will be included.
