Joining once again, in collaboration with the Montreal Canadiens, Classic Auctions is pleased to offer a large collection of artifacts and memorabilia from the storied club’s comprehensive archives. A number of historic specimens direct from the famous team including unique displays that were once marvelously displayed in the hallowed Montreal Forum and later at the Bell Centre are available, with an endless array of legendary and monumental players featured that all proudly once donned the sacred jersey of the mighty Montreal Canadiens.
Nicknamed the Pocket Rocket in reference to his older brother, Henri Richard spent his especially successful career entirely with the Montreal Canadiens, winning eleven Stanley Cup championships – the most for any player in history. Direct from the archives of the Montreal Canadiens and most likely displayed originally at the Montreal Forum and possibly later at the Bell Centre, we have a Hall of Fame honoured member framed photo of the legendary superstar. At 10” x 10” (exposed), Richard is pictured in alert game action, with his gaze stating all business. A gold-coloured name plaque listing his induction year (1979) has been inserted beneath, double-matted and framed to 16” x 16”, with some light wear to the frame to note. An LOA from Classic Auctions will be included.
