Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Spring 2021

Considered the golden age of the Montreal Canadiens, a number of iconic superstars would suit up for the Habs beginning in the late-1940s/early-1950s, with the club completely dominating all competition throughout the latter half of the 1950s. This large Canadiens postcard lot hails from the 1950s/60s and is especially desirable due to the pleasing, uniform condition throughout, highlighted by 26 matching specimens signed by deceased HOFer Toe Blake. All black and white blank-backed specimens (a few have either a name handwritten or stamped on the reverse) and totaling approx 235 (including the 26 Blake signed postcards), just 47 have no name listed. The important HOFers include the Rocket, Plante, Geoffrion, Harvey, Moore (3), Beliveau (10) and Henri Richard (9), with just light handling wear to the group, with the odd example sporting heavier wear including to the corners.
