Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Winter 2021
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 2/23/2021
Fondly remembered as the "Fleet Street Flats", Toronto’s Maple Leaf Stadium served as the home of the International League’s Toronto Maple Leafs baseball team for over 40 years. Constructed in 1926 by Lol Solman, the jewel box-style stadium was located at the foot of Bathurst Street on the south side of Lake Shore Boulevard, with the historic venue demolished following the 1967 season. The first of its kind we have ever handled or seen, we have an original double seat bench from Maple Leaf Stadium. At approx 31” x 44” at the widest points and completely fashioned in Leafs blue, the bench appears all original with intact wooden seat and back-rest slats, with “T.B.B. & A. Co” embossed near the bottom of the left metal leg. There is heavy wear throughout from prolonged use, with the slats intact and no obtrusive damage.
