Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Winter 2021
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 2/23/2021
Earning his fourth Stanley Cup championship in just his ninth NHL season, Wayne Gretzky would say goodbye to Edmonton and Canada following the 1988 finals, with his time in Alberta regarded as one of the most dominate multi-season performances for any sport. Honouring The Great One’s four Stanley Cup titles, we have a limited-edition signed photo display. Featuring a double-matted 8” x 10” photo of Wayne in game-action against St Louis, an Oilers pin has been inserted above, with a silver plaque along the base stating “Wayne Gretzky” and “4-Time Stanley Cup Champion”. Wayne has signed in blue sharpie, with the signature flawless, with the especially desirable limited-edition number of “99/199” handwritten over the bottom right. Framed to full dimensions of approx 16” x 21”, a hologram from WGA has been affixed over the bottom right.
