Numerous intriguing cereal-related premiums/collectibles here include not-often-seen items, with the earliest dating back to 1936-37 and a Kellogg's (4-page) Sports Booklet on hockey. Similar in size is a 1940 panel from a Wheaties box, with a Lynn Patrick card joined by those of baseballers Feller and Ruffing. Four and eight-card intact panels of '46-47 Kellogg's All-Wheat sports cards are in impressive condition and include three different hockey examples. A complete (empty) box of Nabisco Rice Flakes includes details about (70) 1953-54 sports ("tip") cards inserted in packages, while a '62-63 Corn Chex box pictures Maple Leafs' coach Punch Imlach and advertises his Hockey Tips booklet on a side panel. Please see our website for more details/images.
Considered rare is an un-assembled Kellogg Flip Book (Production No 2 - "He Shoots...He Scores"), with 18 little cards/pages still attached but designed to be separated and made into a flip book. On one of them (#4) is a revealing "Look for the other five Kellogg Flip Movies in other packages of Kellogg's PEP." Completing is a little paper ad from the 1930s for Wheaties, with prominent athletes Lou Gehrig, Chuck Klein, Red Grange, Babe Didrickson and Irving Jaffee among those pictured. As for condition, the "Hockey Offense by Kellogg's Coach" booklet is free of unsightly creases/flaws, while the "Champs of the U.S.A. Set No. 1 Wheaties box panel has a couple of light creases and a little tear where a string once went through one of the holes, designed to make an album. The Nabisco Rice Flakes box has shrink-wrap around it, with numerous creases to report. The top part of the Corn Chex box is not longer present, with a paper ad for free kids hockey equipment affixed to the front. A terrific opportunity to score multiple scarce items is offered with this terrific assembly.
