Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Winter 2021
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 2/23/2021
A member of his home-province Toronto Maple Leafs for the first twelve NHL seasons of his Hall of Fame career, Frank Mahovlich would earn All-Star recognition in nine of those campaigns, winning a quartet of Stanley Cup championships while with the blue and white. This vintage equipment bag in solid Leafs blue originates circa the-early-1960s, with use attributed to The Big M. Sporting a cloth label over one side from Leafs team supplier and MLG resident Doug Laurie, “27” appears directly beneath in sewn white felt numerals, with leather reinforcements affixed to the underside. The bag shows heavy wear throughout, which includes a number of small holes as well as sewn repairs.
