Sharing the ice while proudly wearing the mighty maple leaf, Wayne Gretzky and Mario Lemieux would represent their nation at the 1987 Canada Cup, with Wayne later stating that he played the best hockey of his life at the tournament. Absolutely beautiful silver paint pen autographs from the pair adorn the left 11" x 14" photo of Team Canada 1987’s terrific tandem, a pairing of superstars the likes of which will probably never be seen again. This dual-signed 1987 Canada Cup display celebrates Mario’s game 2 winner in the finals, set up by The Great One. The dual-signed photo of Gretzky’s pass has a WGA hologram and the limited-edition number of “93/199”. On the right is an 11" x 14" photo of the goal celebration, with two plaques below the photos displaying respective quotes from Mario and Wayne that perfectly explain the synergy between the two legends. Framed to approx 22 ½” x 37 ½”, a COA from WGA will accompany.
