Just three shy of a complete set are the metal Shirriff coins here, from the 1962-63 hockey season. More than half (36 coins) are in what we consider to be attractive collectible condition, with little or light wear to the rims that encircle each image. With considerable more wear are nine featuring Canadiens, seven Leafs and five All-Stars or Trophy Winners. Gordie Howe, Bobby Hull (2 different), Jacques Plante (2 diff.), Horton, Mahovlich (2 diff), Armstrong, Keon All-Star and Harvey All-Star are notable among the nicer group, with Beliveau, Plante (2), Harvey Norris Trophy and Bathgate All-Star part of the lesser entries. Duplicates total 16, with condition, expectedly, low. Missing coins are #s 13-Harris, 23-Fontinato and 26-Backstrom. Joining the coins is a '52-53 Parkhurst album designed to store 105 cards, with 12 sheets to insert the cards into present and numbers (1 to 104) stamped onto the sheets below where cards would be placed. The cardboard "folio" is low grade with staining and a partially torn spine but the checklist on the back cover is interesting to check out.
