The starring goaltenders for four of the Original Six clubs throughout the 1950s and/or 1960s, Johnny Bower would patrol Toronto’s crease for a dozen seasons, while Glenn Hall would backstop Chicago for a decade. Gump Worsley would factor heavy for Montreal and New York for seventeen seasons, with Gerry Cheevers serving as Boston’s main defense for a dozen seasons spread over two different stints. This framed limited-edition lithograph entitled “Legends of the Crease” by Walter Burden has been signed by the four honoured HOF members. At approx 14” x 18”, the foursome is expertly depicted in game-action, with each signing along the base in pencil. The artist has signed over the bottom right, with the limited-edition number of “981/1966” added to the bottom left. Double-matted and framed to full dimensions of approx 20” x 23”, an LOA from Classic Auctions will accompany. We should also note some wear to the frame including a few small chips.
